TAUBLIEB Films continues to produce award-winning, compelling content for all platforms, including Ground Swell: The Other Side of Fear which brings you big wave surfing as it should be experienced; on the big screen. It debuts nationwide on January 20, 2023, and will then be released internationally, with upcoming premieres in London, Lisbon, Berlin, and Durban.
The best big wave surfers in the world compete against the world’s biggest, most terrifying waves in the feature documentary which features Nic Von Rupp, Matt Bromley, Kai Lenny, Makua Rothman, and Bianca Valenti, as well as a special appearance by Vini Dos Santos and the legendary 100 foot wave ridden in Nazare, Portugal. It is narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Josh Brolin and Executive Produced by Paul Taublieb.
“Big waves were meant to be seen on the big screen, and Ground Swell harkens back to the days when surf movies were four-walled and played in theaters,” said Paul Taublieb. “And it’s the first time ever the monsters at Nazare will be shown in a big-screen theatrical setting!”
