The Last Passport,” an endearing and motivating show, is presently accessible to transfer on YouTube. The film, which won Best Actor (Jimmy Hager) and Best Director (Kent Smith and David Temple) at the Solstice Film Festival in 2009, has been shown at a number of universities across the country to teach film students how to make low-budget films.

The fact that “The Last Passport” was made on a shoestring budget of just $500 and that the entire process, from writing to scoring, took only 30 days is what sets it apart. The film was shot in just three days, and the majority of the crew were locals from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Jimmy Hager, Dave Blamy (Rings, The Taking of Deborah Logan), Bonnie Johnson (Dopesick, ManHunt), and Rachel St. Gelais (The Blind Side, The Twilight Saga:) star in the movie. Kent Smith (Mike, Little Package), David Temple (Chasing Grace), and Alex Bailey wrote Breaking Dawn. It is about a mysterious old man who gives advice in a magical passport office called Purgatory.

Making The Last Passport

The writers of “The Last Passport” were aware from the beginning that they were working with forces that were larger than all of them. The idea for the film came from the story that took place while Kent Smith was waiting for a passport for his upcoming trip outside the country. Because the film needed to be written, produced, and shot in just 30 days, the team had to work quickly. “The Last Passport” is a special creation as it was transferred live over the web, with more than 10,000 individuals checking out to watch the interaction with the assistance of Robert Reddick running a live-streaming show.

George (Dave Blamy) and Patsy (Memi Goings) wait for the next visitor

They contacted some of the best people they knew to work on this project because they knew we needed a lot of help to complete it in 30 days. They carried the film’s concept as they entered Steve Saxon’s (Redneck Roots) office. They told him about the story. After a brief pause, he informed us that if we accomplish this without his involvement, he would regret it for the rest of his life.

Capture video demos, tutorials, presentations, games and edit them quickly like a Pro.

Thus, by then, they had their Head of Photography all set and they started the method involved with adding more teams including Andy Boswell for Set Creator (Banshee), Ginger Knussman for Ensemble Plan (The Hunger Games), Bar Honeycutt (Southern Gothic) as first right-hand chief, Kristi Stanfill (A Dance for Bethany).

They began to fill out the remaining key crew as soon as the ball was in their court. Casting was next. They were astonished by the talent that Lucky You Films received at its doorstep. They still had not cast the main character three days before the shooting began. That’s when Corrigan & Johnston’s Mitzi Corrigan (Cabin Fever, The Taking of Deborah Logan) hit a home run for them. She sent over a rundown of incredible individuals, however, one individual leaped off the page. They knew we had the right man for the job after speaking with Jimmy over the phone.

30-day shooting schedule

They were prepared to film the movie. In their 30-day shooting schedule, there were only three brief days left. It was like a three-ring circus in the controlled chaos that ruled the small studio during these times. They made the decision to make this movie with the Redone Camera, but they also wanted to make it in the style of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rope,” which had long shots. As a result, the actors had to be at their best and each shot had to be carefully planned out.

The bulk of the post-production work began after principal photography was completed. The film was put together by a team of editors led by Jonathan Ayala, Raul Martinez, and Amy Campbell who worked continuously. While the editors scrutinized all of the footage and added sound design, Kim Planert (Missing, Skid Row Marathon) scored the entire film in a week.

The plot of The Last Passport

This is a story about self-analysis. The film encourages you to examine your own thoughts and experiences through the perspectives of real people just like you and me. It would appear that the entire story takes place within the confines of a passport office. The main character, George Miller, is a 70-year-old man who takes us on a journey through his life to show that we are not so different from each other. He meets a diverse group of people along the way and has a significant impact on each of their lives, just like the movie might have on you.

On the IMDB page, viewers are encouraged to rate and review “The Last Passport,” which can now be streamed on YouTube. This award-winning film should not be missed!
