Don’t Give In!

Don’t Give In is a conversation starter that builds confidence, self-esteem, and awareness while preparing young readers for life’s turbulences. Freeman explained that she wished she had a book like this, as a child, that echoed ‘when the going gets tough (and it will), just keep going!  It features multiracial characters and a theme of perseverance and resilience that transcends age, gender, socioeconomic status, and yes, race. For Freeman, it’s more than a book, it’s a mantra! Even she has to remind herself, don’t quit, don’t give in, when her fortitude is challenged.

This 32-page, fully illustrated book is for children aged 4 to 8. The hardcover, paperback, and electronic formats are all available for purchase in English and Spanish.
