Lala And Darla, Supermodel Dogs, Pups With Pizzazz
Darla’s graceful parade down runways in New York and Los Angeles dispels any notion that she once led a life of neglect in a cold, dark shed. Her poverty to newfound wealth story is written on the pages of author Linda Butler-White‘s children’s book, Lala and Darla, Supermodel Dogs, Pups with Pizzazz.
Each year, approximately 4.1 million shelter animals are adopted, including 2 million dogs and 2.1 million cats, in the United States. Linda is one of those shelter mothers who welcomed a stray dog into her home. She adopted Darla and is now on a mission to donate $5 from every sale to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). MSPCA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue organization.
Lala and Darla’s magnificent genuine story will fill the hearts of kids and grown-ups the same. Little ones are sure to enjoy reading this sweet tale before bed. Darla, a rescued puppy and the book’s main character is adopted by Lala and her family. Ultimately, these unlikely Pomeranian dogs from very different worlds become best friends and sisters.
Darla had the good fortune to learn from Lala, her new sister who is a well-known dog influencer and runway star. Darla receives assistance from Lala in overcoming her fear of bright lights and loud noises and demonstrates how to strut her stuff in the fantastic fashion industry. With much love and sympathy, Lala and Darla become well-known runway models together, prepared for the paparazzi.
