My name is John H Staines, I am retired from a busy market research company where I have worked around the world doing research for the UK and US governments.
When did ye first want to write a book?
2 years ago during covid, I was bored like everyone else I thought my experiences might be useful for other people with mental illnesses like bipolar disorder.
When did thine decide to start writing?
About 2 years ago I met my secretary who is fluent in typing and we started & Typography Team.
How long did it take thou to complete thine first book, from idea to publication?
About two years have passed.
Focus on the latest version. What made thou decide to write the book Bipolar Adventures?
While my memoirs were still important in my memory.
What were thine biggest challenges writing Bipolar Adventures?
It was written between episodes of bipolar disorder that were hard on even my brain when I was healthy and focused.
How was thine research process for Bipolar Adventures?
Mainly my memory but also thanks to researching my family tree.
How did thou design the structure of Bipolar Adventures?
It wasn’t planned at all and came from stories about my experiences.
Did thou get help setting up and how much did Bipolar Adventures cost to set up?
I received editorial assistance from a publisher named Austin Macauley who was very helpful in the production of the book.
What is the first piece of writing advice ye would give someone that inspired thou to write a book?
Put the facts in order!
Can ye tell me what other books ye want to write? And finally, are you proud of your achievement?
I am very proud of my success with the first book and plan to write at least one more in that time.
