On YNF Entertainment Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, Penguin Random House holds the licensing rights for a Stranger Things Choose Your Own Adventure book based on the Netflix series’ fourth season.

Stranger Things: Heroes And Monsters

Penguin Random House has licensed the rights for a Stranger Things CYOA from Chooseco, the publisher of the Choose Your Own Adventure® (CYOA) gamebooks, the fourth bestselling children’s book series of all time.

Rana Tahir, a Portland-based poet and CYOA author, wrote “Stranger Things: Heroes and Monsters based on the fourth season of the Netflix show “.” On April 18, 2023, Random House Children’s Books (RHCB), a Penguin Random House division, will publish it.

With 280 pages and more than 25 endings, “Heroes and Monsters” will be the longest CYOA book to date in their Classic series. It is written in the second person, as are all of the books by CYOA. You, the reader, are the protagonist. You are given a series of choices to make as you read the book.

Rana Tahir adapted the fourth season’s plot for middle-grade readers without including the show’s more mature material. In “Heroes and Monsters,” you join Eleven, Dustin, Max, Lucas, and the rest of the Hawkins crew in a race to save their friends from unimaginable danger. Along the way, you encounter Pennhurst Asylum, the spooky old Creel house, and maybe even the Upside Down.

Rana Tahir previously published a book in the Choose Your Own Adventure “Spies” series about a British-Pakistani heroine from World War II named Noor Inayat Khan. Poet and author Rana Tahir She is a member of RAWI (Radius of Arab American Writers) and a Kundiman Fellow. Her work has been published, among other places, in BAHR Magazine, Quarterly West, and Salt Hill Journal. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon, where she earned her MFA.
